The basic rules that must be met in the construction of retaining walls are: no need to use small stones, the stones is good to have homogeneous (are of the same type), it is best to order the stones from the nearby quarry or specialized shopsif possible choose the stones by yourself, be on the site when they deliver the stones, put the largest stones at the bottom (on the basis) because this wall will become much more stable that way.

Before you choose the stones and buy them is good to clarify exactly the place of the wall, what will be designed for (if you going to use it for strengthening something or it will just be decorative, will be decorated with plants or not) and after clarify that it is better to choose the right stone for your wall.
